About

Alaa Badr

I'm a global technology executive with over 20 years of experience building and leading high-performance teams at the world's most influential technology companies. My career has taken me from founding startups in Egypt to leading customer success organizations at Intel, Oracle, Microsoft, VMware, and Amazon Web Services.

My journey in technology began with an entrepreneurial spark — founding and scaling technology ventures in Egypt before moving into the enterprise space. That early experience gave me a deep appreciation for the human side of technology: understanding what customers truly need and building teams that can deliver on those needs at scale.

At AWS, I helped establish the enterprise customer success function, creating frameworks for cloud adoption that became blueprints for the broader organization. At VMware, I served as Vice President of Cloud Services, guiding enterprises through their hybrid and multi-cloud journeys. At Microsoft, as General Manager of Azure Customer Success, I led strategy and execution for enterprise cloud adoption across Fortune 500 clients.

I then joined Oracle as Vice President of Customer Success for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, building and scaling the customer success practice during a period of rapid growth. Today, as Vice President of Customer Success at Intel, I lead the global customer success strategy, driving adoption and value realization across Intel's enterprise portfolio.

Beyond my corporate roles, I'm passionate about advising startups and investing in emerging technology companies. I believe deeply in the power of mentorship and in building bridges between cultures, having lived and worked across the Middle East, Europe, and North America.

When I'm not working, I'm a devoted family man. I believe that the best leaders bring their whole selves to work, and my family is the foundation that makes everything else possible.
